UPDATE!...Most of the orphanage/school building was built in March,
but we are not finished.  We ended up having to pay around $6,000 in
unexpected duty and inspection fees on our shipping container (very long
story). We also lost about 1.5 weeks of work with the container being held
up.  We need to raise $6,500 to complete the orphanage and school.  This
money will be used for interior walls, a plane ticket, a gate, barb wire, and
other miscellaneous costs. On this trip the interior walls, solar power
system, water system, desks, beds, and shelves will be done, which will
allow the children to move to the new facility.  This new facility will allow
Addy's Hope to move their children out of the rental house they are
currently in and save the agency $1,500 per month in rent.  This could
really help out in tough financial times while adoptions are closed in Liberia.

If you have any ideas on how to raise the money or are feeling led to help
out please let us know. Please send checks made out to "Addy's Hope" to:

We broke ground December 2008 in Marshall, Liberia on a building that will
house 100 children and a school. This will be the first school to serve the
community of Marshall.  This project has been possible thanks to the
tireless efforts of one of our adoptive couples, Jeremy and Kami Johnson.
You can read more about this project and check for frequent updates at
www.futurefororphans.com.  Addy’s Hope owns four acres of land at this
site.  God has given us a vision for a medical clinic, trade school, a church,
a peanut butter house and missionary housing.

We have already committed at least 25 of the spaces in the home to the
Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Liberia.  We have committed to
care for children who are not adoptable but need food, shelter and love
while their family goes through circumstances that make caring for a child
impossible.   The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Liberia holds an
insurmountable job as they work to care for the people of a war torn
country.  It is our dream to work alongside them and other government
officials in order to bring Liberia back to pre-war conditions.  Back to the
beautiful, thriving country she once was.
